Memo has been sent to all high institutions in Nigeria from NYSC directorate headquarters in Abuja, informing schools that due to shortage of funds allocated for NYSC programme by federal government, number of prospective corp members will be slashed from all institutions to 40%. By implication, out of an estimated 2000 graduated students in IBBU this year, 40% of 2000 amounts to 800 will be the lucky ones to go for service. This is so pathetic and unfortunate.
Federal government hid this from the media all this while so as not to tarnish the image of the present administration. All effort made to get the memo of our school proved abortive. But here's the memo of Nnamdi Azikiwe University. Read for yourself
