Dr jibrin Datti Balarabe, a lecturer in the department of English, faculty of languages and communication IBB University Lapai, hails from Niger state, Chanchaga local government area. Before his death, he was the Vice chairman of Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) Niger state branch.
He was a one time faculty exam officer where he diligently discharged his duties. Prior to his death, he was the patron of Hausa Fulani Students Association (HAFUSA) IBBUL chapter. He was survived by his wife, children and relatives.
During our interview with the President of English department, Comr. Muhammad Shabafu he expressed how he feel on the demise of the deceased. He has this to say "Although we all know that death is constant as every living soul will surely taste it. But Mallam Balarabe's death came as a shock to me, I felt very sad just the way one feel wen one lose his parent. Mallam Balarabe to me and all of us in the department of English is not only a great lecturer to us but also like a father. Words alone cannot describe the pain I feel for his demise"
When he was asked how soon he thinks the management will employ someone to manage the irreplaceable lost, he said "We can really say for now. But we hope and pray that at school management will employ someone as soon as possible to take over his courses"
Dr Jibrin Datti's family house is located at Makera, Minna. And the family wishes to invite well wishers to a prayer session organized in his honor tomorrow October 7.
